Kalix raceway velodrome

This project concerned the creation of a velodrome curve for the Kalix raceway coming up to their Swedish championship hosting.

The task involved mapping the existing raceway track geometry, performing the necessary math and dynamics calculations to enable an interesting, and unique driving experience during a race. A web bases simulation model was setup to allow for easy calculation of trade-offs for the client.

Carried out the work while being a visiting researcher at University of Michigan (Optimal Design Laboratory) and at Ford Advanced Engineering, Dearborn, Detroit.
