The goal of the course is that the participants shall reach an understanding of how “Modelling and Simulation” is related to Product Development and Engineering Design. A knowledge of the possibilities with advanced computational support in mechanical engineering is gained. The participant will perform simulation tutorials, work in a “virtual distributed team”, perform survey of how companies use simulation support in their daily activities and finally, use simulation techniques to solve an identified engineering problem. This course is a part of the ProViking graduate school.
